What is SOHLS?
In 1984 President Ronald Reagan issued a proclamation designating January 22 as the first National Sanctity of Human Life Day. Part of the proclamation states: “I call upon the citizens of this blessed land to gather on that day in homes and places of worship to give thanks for the gift of life, and to reaffirm our commitment to the dignity of every human being and the sanctity of each human life.”
SOHLS is commemorated each year on the Sunday before January 22, which is the anniversary of the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision. Each year, we recognize the entire month of January as SOHLS Month, as an opportunity to remember the many lives lost to abortion, and to renew our commitment to protecting life at every stage.
SOHLS is the perfect time to make sure your church is involved in supporting and encouraging women with unexpected pregnancy to choose LIFE. The Pregnancy Clinic Ministry can partner with your church by providing bulletin inserts, guest speakers, client testimony videos and more. We want to help strengthen and educate our community and the local church in this spiritual battle for the lives of precious preborn children and their mothers.

New this year, Jennifer Brinker, Director of Client Services for the Pregnancy Clinic Ministry, is offering a four-part SOHLS devotion series. Each Sunday, she will email you a short devotion, including scripture readings, short meditations, and life-affirming prayers. Learn More or Sign Up Today.
We hope you will join with us in commemorating Sanctity of Human Life Month, and help us build the families of tomorrow.
