Sanctity of Human Life Sunday

In 1984 President Ronald Reagan issued a proclamation designating January 22 as the first National Sanctity of Human Life Day. Part of the proclamation states: “I call upon the citizens of this blessed land to gather on that day in homes and places of worship to give thanks for the gift of life, and to reaffirm our commitment to the dignity of every human being and the sanctity of each human life.”

SOHLS is commemorated each year on the Sunday before January 22, which is the anniversary of the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision. In 2018, we will recognize January 14-21 as Sanctity of Human Life Week, a time to remember the many lives lost to abortion, and to renew our commitment to protecting life at every stage.

The Pregnancy Clinic Ministry invites your church to partner with us to recognize Sanctity of Human Life Sunday through hosting guest speakers, distributing bulletin inserts, raising money through a Baby Bottle Campaign, and praying for this Ministry and the women who come through our doors seeking help and hope.
